This was very easy and fast to use when I'm out cutting tree's on the farm. It fits right inside my case and came with a carrying pouch and its precise on the cutting angles no guess work. I would buy again the price was great as well.

This is a great product for the value. So I recently bought a house that has a lot of old dead trees that need to be cut. After doing some research I bought an amazon chainsaw and other gear to go with it. What I didn't know is that you have to replace the chain or sharpen it. While for me I had to replace the chain a lot more than I like. so I found this product and thought of giving it a chance. I’m surprised by how well it works. Now I’m not replacing my chain after cutting up a few trees, I just sharpen it. I will say required manual work to sharpen it.

The roller sharpeners where out after a couple full blade sharpening sessions but really adds life to blades saving money and time! Buy some extra sharpening rollers and it works great!

This tool has shown to be very good in producing a very sharp finish that is consistent to each tooth. Most other methods produce irregular edges in sharpness and angle of the edge. I used a file and got a few teethes edges sharp, some not. I used a grinder and got over grind on random teeth, excess heat (loss of temper strength), each tooth varied as the grinding wheel wears, the chain lock still allows chain movement in many directions and requires the chain to be removed from the saw. This is a simple guide that hones the tooth into an edge that is comparable to a new chain tooth. This unit is made of aluminum, stainless and plastic on the end of the mount screws & tooth side lock (middle screw) finger & thumb tighten. All operations are focused on the single tooth that is being sharpened. The adjustment for amount to be honed is robust and keeps the tooth secured from up/down movement, the side lock keeps the tooth from waving side to side. Directions are tricky, not easy to relate to and requires a read between steps. I adjust the amount to hone by centering the tip of the tapered rasp bit with the tooth opening and try it, then if more is needed I make slight adjustments. Be aware, a little honing is all it takes. Once a tooth turns out the way it is needed to be, you're done and each tooth on that side will be the same, consistent. This Chainsaw Sharpener worked .When I asked my husband if it worked . He was satisfied with it . Thats a good thing trust me . He Said it fit his chain saw well . Im satisfied Also . If it does wear out . Which it has not . I will replace it with the same one . It is worth the price and seems to be made with quality . Time will tell .

Great instructions and used it to sharpen 2 sets of chains. Very easy to use and works great!
